With patio season upon us, why not make the most of the pleasant weather by enjoying a meal at one of the finest outdoor dining spots in town?
OpenTable, the online restaurant reservation platform, has unveiled its yearly roster of Canada’s Top 100 Restaurants for al fresco dining, with eateries from Ontario claiming over fifty percent of these coveted positions.
In total, there were 56 restaurants across Ontario, with 23 located in Toronto—an notable rise from previous numbers. Last year's 14 restaurants in the city .

OpenTable also notes that of the aforementioned restaurants, Cluny, El Catrin, La Vecchia, Parallel and Simona are dog-friendly, though that only applies to well-behaved canines and is subject to change at the discretion of the establishment.
“We are seeing a demand for pet-friendly patios in real time, as dining is growing 11% higher year-over-year at pet-friendly restaurants than those that don’t allow pets,” Matt Davis, senior country director at OpenTable Canada, said in a statement.

The data shows that outdoor dining is up 21% compared to last year, with 32% willing to brave less-than-ideal conditions to eat outside rather than move indoors.
Priorities for outdoor diners are views of the water at 73%, while mountainous landscapes followed with 63%.
