Apple Pay Outage Leaves Users Unable to Make Purchases

Apple Payments have ceased functioning for numerous users globally because of service disruptions that are impacting various iPhone payment systems as well.

Apple acknowledged technical problems with Apple Pay, Wallet, Apple Card, and Apple Cash began around 4 pm today.

The firm stated that Apple Card and Apple Cash services had returned to normal by 6 pm; however, they acknowledged that issues with Apple Pay and Wallet continued to persist.

Many Apple Pay users in the UK flagged issues on Downdetector.

Most people reported being capable of opening the app, however, they encountered issues with making payments.

Downdetector similarly received numerous complaints from the US, where Apple Pay sees its highest usage.

Outages also appear to be affecting users in other countries including France, Germany Taiwan and Japan.
