Fire crews from Aurora and Denver were dispatched to tackle a vegetation blaze close to Interstate 225 on Friday.
The Aurora Fire Rescue stated that the blaze covered an area approximately 100 feet by 100 feet and was located on the northern side of I-225 close to the RTD Dayton Station.
There were no reports of injuries or endangered structures, the fire department stated, however, smoke and flames can be seen from the highway.
At 1:30 p.m., Aurora Fire stated that they had brought it under control. The reason for the incident is still being looked into.
