
A Houston A man is taking legal action against the fast-food chain Whataburger, alleging that he experienced an allergic reaction To have onions on a burger – even though the order was placed without onions.
Demery Ardell Wilson states that he experienced a severe allergic reaction due to the onions during his meal at one of the restaurant’s locations on June 24, which compelled him to receive medical care.
Wilson asserts that after taking just one bite of his food, he instantly detected onions, leading to an allergic reaction as stated in a lawsuit submitted in Harris County, Texas.
He filed a lawsuit On April 25, they filed against Whataburger demanding "compensation between $250,000 and $1,000,000" as mentioned in the legal documents, following an incident where they requested a dish without onions.
In the petition, Wilson states that he experienced "significant personal injuries" due to the incident and had to "consult with healthcare providers."
Wilson additionally asserts that the restaurant was neglectful in serving him as stated in his lawsuit. It wasn’t readily apparent which specific outlet he went to or what dish he had chosen.
In response to Wilson's accusations, Whataburger is fighting back by demanding "concrete evidence" and refuting his statements in an independent legal filing dated May 16.
